The basics....

Send up to 6 photos to the email address under my Contact Artist link for a no obligation quote. Be sure photos are the best ones you can get. The quality of the drawing depends on the amount of detail I see.

There is no obligation for me to look at your photos and see what I am able to do for you.

Prices for full body, more than one pet, or

backgrounds of any sort, will be quoted

on an individual basis depending on what you want.

I will draw what I see in the photo unless you specifically tell me something needs to be changed. For instance, if you prefer I not draw in a halter or collar, it's best I know before I start. Any change requests made after I have started a drawing will have an additional fee.

Christmas portraits: If I do not have an order, photos, and deposit by October 1, I will not be able to guarantee portraits will be completed before December 25th.

If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to drop me an email.

Gift Certificates....

I offer gift certificates for portraits, or for partial payment toward a portrait. For more information, contact me at downeyart @ gmail.com

How To Order Your Portrait

I can create a portrait from your clear and detailed photos. The clearer the photograph you are able to send me (preferably 150 to 300 dpi), the better the art work will be. It is important for me to be able to see details in the photo. Use a high resolution setting on your camera and shoot at eye level. Avoid high shadow areas or extremely bright times of day to get the best possible reference photo. All digital photographs should be emailed to: downeyart @ gmail.com.

If you are unable to provide me with good photos, and live in central Missouri, I may be able to shoot the photos for you for an additional fee. **Note: I cannot use any photograph taken by a professional photographer without their written permission due to copyright protection.

Pricing is for single graphite head portrait only. If you want a full body, additional subjects, or a more detailed background, please contact me for a quote. Sizes are paper size and finished matted piece will be larger.

Payment plans are welcome! I understand that original art is an investment you might not be able to make all at one time. I am happy to break down the payments into smaller installments for up to a 6 month period. Delivery would be made after I receive the final payment.

Drawings are on acid-free archival paper. Sizes are

paper dimensions and are approximate.

more information if interested.

Acid-free single gray mat - FREE with commission

Missouri residents will have 5.975% sales tax added.  Shipping and handling with insurance is additional if needed.

I will send photos of the work at about 75% done then 90% done so we can catch any potential changes prior to completion. Once the portrait is finished, I will send a proof for you to approve. One minor adjustment will be included in the cost. (I consider minor being something I can do in less than an hour.) Once you approve the artwork, I will send an email with the final bill, unless other arrangements have been made.

If we are meeting for delivery, you are welcome to make payment in cash at that time. If you prefer, you may send the amount to me via an online payment service but I do not have access to all the different methods and would need to speak to you IN ADVANCE to agree on which service you prefer. IE: Paypal, Venmo, Etc.

Artwork will be shipped insured, or hand-delivered if you are local, once payment has cleared. Delivery must be taken within 14 days of completion unless prior arrangements are made.
